Who am I?
You could say that I fell in the conference business as a teenager and never really left. The beauty of a conference is that you get to create something from A to Z and see it happen. Having started as an intern, moving through media relations, press conferences, event management, program development and speaker identification, I know first hand what each task entails.
My areas of expertise include geopolitical analysis, positioning consultancy, risk and crisis management, and event creation and management.
I was born, raised and educated in Switzerland starting my professional career - after a BA in political science and a Master of international law - as Business Development Manager and Project Manager for Global Event Management, a company specialized in creating and organizing corporate and international conferences worldwide. I moved to New York to join the Dilenschneider Group, a public relations firm specializing in communications strategy and crisis management, with clients among the Fortune 500 companies and high-profile individuals. I left Dilenschneider to open Smadja & Smadja USA in 2003.
On a personal note, I am privileged to have adopted horses and dogs who have been my teachers forcing me to be fully present with them and making me more alert to the non verbal cues we human tend to forget. These teachings have proven to be most helpful in the professional field.
I am fluent in English and French, with a working knowledge of Spanish.
